So we’re pretty sure that you are wondering who we are and why we are here, right? We’re each going to take a couple of minutes and introduce ourselves. We are Mike and Pete and we both are members of The Wealthy Affiliate. We came to the Wealthy Affiliate around the same time in 2009 and have since teamed up to change people’s perception of internet marketing. Go ahead and read on to learn more about us!
Hey There, I'm Mike
Goodness, where do I start?? Well, again my name is Mike. I am happily married man with two beautiful boys. My family is really the reason why I do everything. Originally from Chicago, my family and I relocated to beautiful Wisconsin for a job promotion that I accepted in 2005. At the time, I thought things were starting to a turn for the better. A new life, better paying job, new house, etc. Yeah, you know what? Life was really good!
I even went back to school to get my degree in business because of this promotion!
There was one problem though -
The economy dictates my income. During the last two and half years, I have seen a steady decline in my income. To date, my income has dropped approximately $35,000…A YEAR!
So I uprooted my family to make almost LESS than I did before I moved!! That hardly seemed like it worked out well for us.
I knew that I HAD to do something. It was obvious that I could no longer rely on my employer for a good, supportive income. There was another problem though -
I have been down this road before! I have spent A LOT of money on other programs that promised that I would make money with their programs, etc. I saw fancy cars, beautiful houses, etc. I wanted that freedom! I wanted to go on vacation when I wanted to. I didn’t want any debt!!
Needless to say though, that didn’t work out to well.
So anyway, I stumbled across The Wealth Affiliate in September of 2009 and have not looked back since. It’s taken some work, yes. But I am finally working towards really making that life for myself and my family. I am paying off my debt and am actually going to be able to start SAVING money again!!
That is why I keep at this.
- I don’t want creditors calling me at work anymore
- I don’t want my kids to hear me arguing with creditors at home.
- I don’t want the mailman bringing those “certified letters” to my door from a bill collector.
- I don’t want to worry about my heat and electricity being shut off.
- I want to be able to SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!
And you know what, I’m getting there now. Life is more fun, more bearable, you know? I can come home and spend time with my boys without anymore distractions. Talk about liberating!!!
Some other things about me -
I love music! I play the guitar and pretend that I am good singer! I’ve spent my whole life around music and it is really a big part of my life.
I am also a huge sport’s buff! This is especially true when it comes to baseball and American Football.
There’s nothing more I like than hanging out with my kids. They are young now and I don’t ever want to look back with the “woulda, shoulda’s”. I only get one shot at being a great dad and I don’t want to screw it up. That is why I am here. I’m finally starting to get it right! The only way that I am going to do well is if I do it myself!

Howdy, I'm Pete!
So I guess, it’s my turn huh?
My name’s Pete and on the outside, I am a pretty normal guy. I have the same problems a lot of guys have! My girlfriend and I want to get married, so I’m currently working on funding my marriage. After marriage, we’re planning on starting our own little family.
What a lot people do not know about me though is what I did before I got into internet marketing. At the age of 21, I owned and managed upwards of $1,000,000 of real estate. I thought that I was living the life! I was young, successful, and ambitious. Nothing could stop me!
Well, wrong!
Without having any prior knowledge, the banks foreclosed on ALL TEN OF MY PROPERTIES! It wasn’t because payments were missed or anything like that. I’m still trying to work the legal proceedings to find out how to recover from this, but either way, I was left with NOTHING!
Those houses WERE my income! I found myself doing odd jobs to make money here and there. There was no consistency there though.
Then one day while looking on the internet (much like YOU!), I came across The Wealthy Affiliate and I was sucked in – hook, line, and sinker! Since then, I have never looked back!
Now I am making a life not only for me, but for my future wife and family. What didn’t kill me IS making me stronger! There is nothing more exciting than being able to make a living from my home!
Some other things about me -
Like Mike, I am music fan as well. I like the guitar and unlike Mike, I do believe that I can sing fairly well!
I am a HUGE baseball fan and still have aspirations of making a living in baseball. I have some potential and have been invited to play minor league ball by some scouts. Man, that would be awesome!
Other than that, I do enjoy just hanging out with my girlfriend and thinking about the future that we are going to have together. Internet marketing has opened up a whole new world for me and everyday is a new adventure! Only time will tell, but I am well on my way to fulfilling the dreams that I have always had!
